Wight Way Adventures – Online Course Booking Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to all online course bookings made with Wight Way Adventures. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms, so please read them carefully before proceeding.
1. Bookings & Payment
1.1. All course bookings must be made through our official website or an authorized booking platform.
1.2. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place on the course.
1.3. Upon successful payment, a confirmation email will be sent to you. Please check this carefully and contact us immediately if any details are incorrect.
1.4. We reserve the right to refuse bookings at our discretion.
2. Cancellations & Refunds
2.1. By You (the Participant):
- Cancellations must be made in writing via email.
- If you cancel:
- More than 14 days before the course start date: 100% refund minus a £10 admin fee.
- Less than 14 days before the course start date: No refund.
2.2. No refunds will be issued for non-attendance.
2.3. Course places are non-transferable, unless agreed in writing by Wight Way Adventures.
2.4. By Us (Wight Way Adventures):
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a course in the event of:
- Low bookings
- Adverse weather
- Instructor illness or emergency
- Unforeseen operational issues
- If we cancel, you will be offered:
- A full refund, or
- A transfer to an alternative course/date (subject to availability)
3. Course Requirements
3.1. Participants must be at least 16 years old, or accompanied by an adult if underage and accepted by prior arrangement.
3.2. Some courses may have specific physical, skill, or experience requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure you meet these before booking.
3.3. If you have any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements, please inform us at the time of booking.
4. Participant Conduct
4.1. You are expected to behave in a respectful and safe manner during the course.
4.2. Wight Way Adventures reserves the right to remove any participant from a course who is deemed to be a risk to themselves, others, or the environment, without refund.
5. Liability & Insurance
5.1. Outdoor and adventure-based courses carry inherent risks. By booking, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
5.2. Wight Way Adventures is fully insured for public liability, but we strongly recommend you obtain your own travel/personal insurance, including cover for course cancellations and personal injury.
5.3. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury unless directly caused by our proven negligence.
6. Changes to Courses
6.1. We reserve the right to make minor changes to course content, timings, or instructors as necessary.
6.2. Any significant changes will be communicated in advance, and alternatives will be offered where possible.
7. Intellectual Property
7.1. All course materials, including digital content, remain the intellectual property of Wight Way Adventures and may not be copied, shared, or used without permission.
8. Privacy
8.1. Your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and used only for processing your booking and communicating relevant course information.
9. Governing Law
9.1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland
9.2. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
